Men really are from Mars

I don’t understand men. I’ve given up.

Maybe it’s my fault. HA! Telling someone who has said they don’t want to date you that you miss them, maybe it was overboard, but HEY WE WERE FRIENDS at one time…. anyhow, it’s just hard to be honest and say what i feel, when my email gets an answer that says “yeah maybe” … in answer to one trivial question at the end.

Ahh well…. things “always work out in the end”? I told someone that once, and I really believed it when I said it…. HA what did I know?

Where did Friday go?

the friday five

  1. How many houses/apartments have you lived in throughout your life?
Too many….I move a lot and I honestly don’t know… but my mom’s been in the same house since I was in kindergarten.
  2. Which was your favorite and why?
I liked the townhouse my dad rented in Gilroy… it was close to things and I could ride my bike and make friends.
  3. Do you find moving house more exciting or stressful? Why?
It all depends on the reason for the move… if moving is less stressful than staying where I was, then it’s exciting. I think the moving process itself is stressful, but once it’s done it can be exciting.
  4. What’s more important, location or price?
Both, I wouldn’t live in a dangerous area for a good price, but I also can’t afford 90210.
  5. What features does your dream house have (pool, spa bath, big yard, etc.)?
I want a big yard (for the dogs) and a pool. I also want hardwood floors, I hate carpet.

Good Puppy Pie

Take one puppy, roll and play with him until slightly pampered,
and add the following ingredients:

1 cup patience
1 cup understanding
1 pinch correction
1 cup hard work
2 cups praise
1.5 cups fun

Blend well. Heat with the warmth of the heart until
the consistency is such that the dog and handler are one.

No more “satan puppy”

Bailey is doing so much better! We’ve only had one accident in the house in the last few weeks (he’s actually doing better than Comet who has regressed to jumping off the bed in the middle of the night to pee and then waking me AFTER because he wants to be put back on the bed).

This week we are still working on “down”…. he’s gotten good, but he doesn’t always respond to the word, but he’s almost perfect with the hand command. “Leave it” and “drop it” are turning out to be a challenge, as Bailey likes to have stuff he shouldn’t and he’s not keen about returning things when asked.

I think he probably weighs in close to 30 lbs now… he has completely outgrown Comet’s crate (25 lbs and under). We’re on our way to Petsmart to buy a much bigger one for him tonight, one that is for 70 lbs and under (THANKS DAD!). I feel so bad for him, I didn’t really notice until the last few days, but he can’t even sit in the crate without ducking because he’s too tall =( … I feel horrible and I think he’ll be much more relaxed if he has more room to be comfortable when I’m not home.

Puppy class has gotten better too. I don’t remember if I posted or not, but we thought our trainer was a bitch after the first night, but now she’s become nicer and Bailey is allowed to play with all the other puppies!

Almost 6 pm… feeding time! After that, we’re off to Petsmart. Do you know how much money I’ve spent at that place in the last month??! ……….. let’s not talk about it.
